Global leaders hold steady; New key players emerge; The world’s leading industry market intelligence platform ranks the top data center operators for connectivity and density.

BRISBANE, AUSTRALIA, 30 January, 2020 – Cloudscene, the world’s leading market intelligence platform and independent global marketplace, has today released the results of its H2, 2019 Leaderboard which ranks operators based on connectivity and density of data centers in North America, EMEA, Oceania, and Asia.

Across the board, the top three operators remained strong, maintaining their positions within their respective regions. Equinix held its place as the global leader securing the top ranking in each market. Following closely behind was Digital Realty and Coresite in the North America rankings; while second and third position was taken by Interxion and Telehouse in EMEA, NEXTDC, and Vocus in Oceania, and SUNeVision and NTT in Asia.

New players have emerged to join the Leaderboard, this half year. In EMEA, e-shelter debuted at number eight, dropping Nikhef one place to number nine. Flexential made its inaugural entrance at number ten in North America as well as CyrusOne at number seven, while Datacom found its way back into the Oceania rankings, since Q1 2018, at number six.

Data for the H2, 2019 Leaderboard is indicative of the period between July and December 2019 and has been collated based on data center density (total facilities in region) and connectivity (total service providers across all data centers in region) to determine an overall combined score for each region.
