We’re getting closer to the data cut-off for Cloudscene’s H2, 2019 Data Center Ecosystem Leaderboard which will be announced in January 2020. Data center operators on Cloudscene are encouraged to review their company data before 20th December 2019 to ensure they have the best chance at optimizing their ranking. Cloudscene’s half-yearly Leaderboard provides a data-driven global snapshot of the data center industry by ranking the top operators based on the connectivity, density, and neutrality of facilities across North America, EMEA, Oceania, and Asia.To form the rankings for the H2, 2019 Leaderboard, data will be collated based on the July to December 2019 period, selected from a pool of 6,500+ service providers listed on Cloudscene, and assessed on the following criteria to determine an overall combined score for each region:
- Data center density (total operated data centers)
- Connectivity (the total number of PoPs)
- Service provider density (number of service providers in each data center)
- Facility neutrality
Cloudscene’s Leaderboard contributes to our mission of providing the industry with a single source of truth for market data while enabling deeper insight and comparisons using transparent and accurately-sourced information.In our H1, 2019 Leaderboard, we saw Equinix maintain pole position across all four regions as well as some improved and inaugural rankings from the likes of Cyxtera in North America, CenturyLink in EMEA, and Spark New Zealand in Oceania.
